Salicylic acid topical is used to treat warts on hands and feet, acne (pimples), comedones (blackheads and whiteheads) and skin blemishes (imperfections and discoloration of skin due to acne). It is also used to treat psoriasis (inflammatory disease of skin causing patches of redness), dandruff, callITS USED FOR–>, corns and conditions which cause drying and scaling of skin.

WORK MECHANISM–>

Salicylic acid belongs to a class of medications called as keratolytics. It works by reducing swelling and redness and thus causing pimples to shrink. It also loosens and softens the dry, scaly skin thus causing it to peel off.
