Gliclazide  – Gliclazide is used to lower the blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, physical exercise and weight reduction alone are not adequate.

Metformin – Metformin is an antidiabetic medicine that helps to control blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

WORKS –

Gliclazide –  Gliclazide belongs to a blood sugar lowering group of medicines called sulfonylurea. Gliclazide increases the amount of insulin released by the pancreas, and thereby decreases the blood sugar level.

 Metformin – Metformin belongs to class of medications called antidiabetics.It decreases the amount of glucose absorbed from the food and the amount ofglucose made by liver. Metformin also increases the body’s response to insulin(a natural substance that controls the amount of glucose in the blood).
