Description:-Used to prevent recurrent miscarriage and maintain pregnancy; to treat absence of menstruation (amenorrhoea) in women of childbearing age and abnormal uterine bleeding; as a hormone replacement therapy in post-menopausal women; to treat premenstrual syndrome (feelings of tension, irritability, depression, headache, breast tenderness, weight gain and bloating that occurs 7-10 days before menstruation) and depression following child birth.

It works by:-Decreasing the levels of estrogen in the uterus and replacing the natural progesterone in women who are lacking.

Common side effects:-Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension and constipation.

Health advice:-If you have an allergy to progesterone or any other part of this drug. If you have a peanut allergy and are taking the capsules. The capsules have peanut oil in them. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs. If you have any of these health problems: Bleeding into the brain, blood clots, breast cancer, heart attack, liver disease, stroke, or vaginal bleeding.
