Moxonidine belongs to a group of drugs known as anti-hypertensives. This drug widens and relaxes the blood carrying vessel which helps to lower blood pressure.

Moxovas Tablet Dosage
The recommended treatment of this drug should be start with 0.2 mg in the morning. The dose may be titrated after three weeks to 0.4mg, given as one dose or as divided doses (morning and evening) until a satisfactory response. A single daily dose 0.4 mg and a divided daily dose of 0.6mg of moxovas should not be exceeded. Please consult your doctor and follow his or her recommendations. Please do not self medicate.

A side effect is an unwanted response to a drug when it is taken in normal doses. Side effects can be temporary or permanent, mild or severe. The side effects of this drug are as follows:
Gastrointestinal: Upset stomach or throwing up, Loose stools (diarrhea), Belly pain
Other: Dizziness, Headache, Tendons may rarely get irritated and tear
