LIPAGLYN 4MG TABLET USES –

Saroglitazar is used in the treatment of dyslipidemia (abnormal lipid levels) and hypertriglyceridemia (increased triglyceride levels) associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus that is not controlled by statin therapy.

LIPAGLYN 4MG TABLET WORKS –

Saroglitazar belongs to a class of medication called PPAR (peroxisome proliferator activated receptor) agonists. It works by reducing triglycerides, very low and low density lipoprotein, and increasing HDL cholesterol. It also has favourable effects on glycemic indices by reducing fasting glucose and glycosylated haemoglobin in patients with diabetes.
