Works:- It works by interfering with the formation of the outer covering (cell wall) of bacteria so that the wall ruptures and results in the death of the bacteria.

Uses:- Cefpodoxime is a cephalosporin antiboitic with similar structure as that of penicillin. It is used in the treatment of certain  bacterial infections in the body like urinary tract infection, sexually transmitted disease (gonorrhea), lung infection (pneumonia), kidney infection (pyelonephritis), sinusitis, skin or soft tissue Infection, inflammation of tonsils (tonsillitis), sore throat (pharyngitis), and upper respiratory tract infection.
